Architect/Designer/Developer - Microsoft .NET

Looking for an Architect with hands-on experience with Microsoft BizTalk 2009 and ESB Toolkit 2.0 for demanding client assignment.

Role:

  • Understand the business requirements and define the technical architecture
  • Interface with offshore development teams to provide technical guidance around design, development and testing for various services and interfaces
  • Interface with client teams to gather requirements, communicate architecture and design approaches, interface with infrastructure and operations teams etc.
  • Clearly document and communicate design specifications to various parties involved
  • Implement code and test harness
  • Help automate the build and release processes

Skills required:

    7 to 10 years of total industry experience with highly technical skills:

  • 6+ years of hands-on system development and implementation experience using Microsoft technologies and products
  • 5+ years of hands-on system architecture and design experience using OOAD and other structured system design approaches
  • 3+ years of experience with BPM and SOA technologies - specifically with Microsoft product suites
  • Must have thorough experience developing systems in VB.NET and/or C#
  • Must have thorough experience developing systems on BizTalk 2009 with ESB Toolkit 2.0
  • Must be able to apply various facilities available within ESB toolkit appropriately
  • Must have thorough experience with various Microsoft technologies and frameworks including .NET, WPF, Silverlight, WCF, WWF, Windows Forms, ASP.NET etc.
  • Must have thorough experience designing, developing and deploying systems using BPM and SOA technologies including BPEL, WWF etc.
  • Must have experience implementing Web Services and using XML technologies (XML, XSL, XSD, WSDL)
  • Should have used Enterprise Library components, Patterns and Practices Guidance
  • Should have used Team Foundation Server infrastructure
  • Should be able to independently design and develop various human workflow tasks using Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation or other similar technologies
  • Thorough hands-on experience with SQL Server database development required
  • Experience with Agile and iterative software development methodologies
  • Must have experience with Visual Studio 2005 or 2008
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure a plus
  • Relevant latest certifications in BizTalk will be considered a big plus
  • Very good listener and communicator. Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills
  • Work with little direct supervision to define and implement solutions for business/technical team
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills especially in support of tools and process implementation

The candidate will need to go through a series of highly technical interviews.

Location: Chicago Metro area
Duration: 4 to 6 months with possibility of longer term engagement
